Who me?

I was informed last night that a press release would be going out today listing me as one of the Top 20 most influential people in Los Angeles according to MostPublic.

Apparently, The MostPublic Index is a leading indicator and benchmark of who is really changing the way in which news is being produced and distributed. Essentially it is a "detailed barometer" of the voices that are most heard in the digital landscape as new channels—Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube and the like—transform how media is created and spread.

Previously, MostPublic identified the 50 MostPublic influencers in New York and Silicon Valley. The New York list has people like Arianna Huffington and others in the media, thus my elation to be included in the Top 20 for L.A. along with Will Wheaton and Perez Hilton.

Here's the full list:

1. Jason Calacanis
2. Perez Hilton
3. Wil Wheaton
4. Micki Krimmel
5. Zadi Diaz
6. Dave Bullock
7. Erin Kotecki Vest
8. Zach Behrens (editor of LAist)
9. Felicia Day
10. Kent Nichols
11. Mark Frauenfelder
12. Alex Albrecht
13. Xeni Jardin
14. Neil Patel
15. Sean Bonner
16. Colleen Wainwright
17. Trent Vanegas
18. Christine Lu
19. Tara Settembre
20. Efren Toscano

  9. Belated congrats, Tara! On both the success of your blog and on your engagement (I know - where have I been? Slammed, and out of touch for too long.)

Anyway, it's great to see another J-schooler and Penenberg survivor doing so well. Take care, and keep it up!
