I had problems finding a standard silver-colored utility bucket, but found a prettier tin one at Target that was a smaller though. I filled the contents with some fun, yet useful items - a sponge, extension cord, Goo Be Gone, grill lighter, post-its, shopping list and tape.
I then used some green chalkboard paint for the first time and painted a square on the front of the bucket. I applied two coats and wrote "Welcome Home" with chalk.
It was a fun project that was easy enough to do and my gift was definitely unique and the only one of it's kind there, bonus!
What a cute idea. this is a great housewarming gift.

ReplyDeleteNow this is what a housewarming gift should be. Useful gifts for the house. I might go heavier on the cleaning products and sponges...always was a thing for me when I moved into a new rental. Now that I own, I embrace my dirt!
