A Coastal Centerpiece - Seashell Hurricane Glass

I'm not very crafty in the do-it-yourself sense, but I got inspired by the below photo in Good Housekeeping this month. Since I'm in the middle of furnishing and redoing a vacation property/rental that we bought in Naples, Florida I thought this bright beach look would be perfect. I'm even going to paint the walls in a similar yellow too.

According to the magazine a glass centerpiece keeps the look light.

So, I picked up a large glass vase from World Market and went "shelling" over the weekend for some natural treasures on the beach. I then added in a pillar candle and tried arranging the shells around it to show off the best ones. What do you think?

Now during each vacation I select a new shell to bring back with us and place into the vase full of tropical memories.
