Boujee on a Budget: Sound System Upgrade

Who says living the luxe life has to come with a hefty price tag? You deserve premium experiences without stretching your wallet – whether it’s for your home or your closet. It’s all about finding the perfect balance between quality and affordability.

That’s why the iLive Soundbar and Subwoofer System is perfect for those who live a boujee life on a budget. This sleek setup delivers powerful, high-definition sound that makes every movie night, playlist, or podcast feel like a front-row experience.

Soundbars typically have multiple speakers directed towards the listener, delivering richer, more detailed sound with better bass response compared to small TV speakers that are on the back of the tv pointed towards the wall making it muffled sounding.

Designed to elevate your space without emptying your bank account, it’s proof that boujee doesn’t have to mean overspending. Case in point, the iLive - 45-inch Bluetooth Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Satellite Speakers is only $159 at Best Buy

Why upgrade to a soundbar?

A soundbar speaker offers significant benefits over a TV's built-in speakers, including significantly improved sound quality with clearer dialogue, a more immersive audio experience, easy setup, space-saving design, versatility with multiple connectivity options, and affordability compared to full home theater systems, making it a great choice for enhancing your TV watching experience without major complications or cost.

Easy setup experience:

You won't need Geek Squad or a tech bro to set this up either.

Soundbars are designed for easy installation, usually connecting to your TV with a single HDMI cable using the ARC standard. It comes with wirelss detachable speakers for the rear speakers, and a wireless subwoofer for when you need the additional bass for that “fuller” sound, for when you want to hear an explosion have a little bit more “oomph,” or an overall full sound to anything your watching or simply just listening to music.

Overall thoughts:

One of the more interesting features of this soundbar is that on the ends, it has two speakers that can stay attached to allow even more of a soundstage due to the width, OR they can actually simply be twisted off and then used as wireless surround speakers that are battery powered! When attached to the soundbar, it actually charges them and shows an indicator light when it's charging.  If you’re looking for a more permanent location setup, though,  it does include USB-C cables that you can simply plug into any USB charger (not included). Overall, with the wireless rear speakers and the wireless sub that essentially pairs itself without issues, it’s a great purchase for the money!

There is also an even more budget option - a 29-inch version on Amazon, which would be perfect for my apartment in Manhattan too.
