Swingin' Smart Swing Seat Covers

The former residents of our new home kindly left their backyard playground and swing set behind when they sold us the house. I just had to re-stain it and purchase infant seats to replace the older child swings.

We've already put the boys in the swings a few times, but they still looked too little for it and I feared their heads would hit the chains and hard plastic seats. This is why when I saw Swingin' Smart swing seat covers from Baby Bee Haven, I immediately went to their website to find out more.

Like popular shopping cart and high chair covers, this portable bucket seat swing protector for $39.99 is a must-have for baby & toddlers. Parents always seem to have the shopping cart covers, but studies show playgrounds can be more germ-infested than a public restroom! After all, I can't think of the last time I ever saw anyone officially cleaning a playground set.

Plus, the soft padding also protects against the seat being too hot from the sun, thus warms or cools the seat as needed. Our swing set gets direct sunlight so this was another bonus feature for us. Also, with Baby Bee Haven seat covers you don't have to worry about wiping down the seats before putting your child in them, since it's a washable fabric to safeguard against germs and dirt. It's also easily potable and comes in a to-go sack.

Here is Logan trying out the new cover. Without it, his arms would have been up like that around just the chain links.

As you can see Logan also chose to chomp down on the portion of the seat in front of him, but thankfully the Swingin' Smart made it softer and cleaner for him to do so at least.

PS: Yes, Ben uses the swing cover too, but I chose Logan to be my photo guinea pig for this post this time :)

  3. I'm always amazed to find products like these that make me go, "Well, why didn't I think of that?" So cool, and perfect for our 6-month-old. She just tried her first park swing yesterday.

  4. Cute! It's the heat that always bothered our little one which is probably why she hated the swings until this summer. Yes, that's almost 6 years of preferring the slide over swing.
