The basic starter subscription, "Gourmand," allows for 2 dinners for two people per month and free shipping, which is what I tried. You can always skip a month since you're not locked in to anything either. Each meal not only comes with a main dish but is a complete 3-course meal with a paired appetizer and dessert.
New menus debut on the 1st of each month, so you'll never get bored with the choices. Last month, I tried Chef Rod Aglibot's Turkey Meatloaf Sliders - juicy and flavorful turkey meatloaf patties on mini brioche with cranberry relish, accompanied by a warm bacon and Brussels sprout salad. Plus, sweet potato bisque to start and pear and blueberry crostata to finish. Chef Aglibot meanwhile has been featured on many national television programs for his New Asian cuisine, including Food Buddha on TLC, the Today Show, Ellen, Entertainment Tonight and Extra. For this month, I ordered Barbeque Pork Shank with Corn Spoonbread and Wild Boar Ragu with Truffled Polenta dinners, which are currently on the way to my home.
Being just weeks from baby time, I found this club to be a Godsend. I can barely stay on my feet long enough to cook a complete meal or go grocery shopping anymore and my husband is way too busy with work. Plus, you can order Chinese food and pizza just so many times before you get bored with both. I'm planning on continuing the subscription the next few months figuring once the twins arrive, I'll have even less time to prepare meals and this will serve as a great dinner date in.
