With YouTube receiving seven hours of video every minute of every day, everyone is getting in on the online video sharing craze. This Mother's Day make Mom the hippest mom on the block by giving her the new easy-to-use Flip camcorder. I've blogged about the tiny and easy to use camcorder before (here) and have been using it to film my coverage of Tribeca this week.
Basically its an easy and affordable way for mom or anyone to capture and share video memories. The pocket-sized cam fits easily into pocket or purse and can be carried everywhere, plus comes in fun colors like orange and pink. Their onboard software makes it a snap to upload video directly to YouTube, email video or send personalized greetings. There's even a clear underwater case available for filming under the waves at the pool and beach, which I've added to my bridal shower registry, lol.
Now how do you get one too? Well, the great people at Pure Digital, the makers of The Flip camcorder is giving me a Flip Ultra with 60 minute record time to give to one of you. The camcorder sells for $132 on Amazon and I'll also throw in some When Tara Met Blog goodies like a t-shirt in this giveaway. Excited? OK now to win, just post a comment here with your email address (If I don't know how to contact you already or if a blog link isn't provided) along with a quick suggestion of what video content you'd like to see on my blog in the future, IE me filming the beach for those not in L.A., more interviews, no video--you hate it, etc. Good luck! I'll be drawing a lucky winner on Sunday evening.
Update: Congrats to ProudPapa on winning the Flip camcorder, enjoy filming your boy!
I would like you to record exactly one half hour of beach and one half hour of SoCal traffic. That way I can drool over the idea of being near so much sun and sand and then be reminded that said sun and sand comes with I-5. ;o)

So I know I just won your last contest, but I have to enter again. I loved your last video of the interview from the film festival. I would love to see more interviews and fun stuff like that. Seriously, I had heard of so many more LA and movie things because of your blog and I love it since I live here, haha.

Record the sunset! I've heard that the sunset is extra pretty because of the smog.

You might want to "THROW IN"
ReplyDeletestuff instead of "through in"
stuff. I suggest you continue
to video whatever YOU think is
good. That's why people visit your
blog because you have a knack of
showing and writing about things
most people enjoy.
Just keep doing what
you're doing... and thank you for
doing so.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I would like to see highlights of your upcoming wedding festivities on video in your blog. I'm sure your blog fan base feels like they know you very well and would like to 'be there' on your big day! (Nicki's Mom)
ReplyDeleteI think you should record your cat doing crazy cat-tricks...Raphael, hint, hint, hint.
ReplyDelete;)
I enjoy looking at the different things you blog. As a former Los Angeleno I'd really enjoy seeing some of the quirky places and people in LA.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the interviews, but wish they weren't quite so noisey.
Thanks for sponsoring this contest.
video of your fourth of july weekend festivities.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...I would like to see random people dancing, call me crazy, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
Take videos of your cupcake outings!
ReplyDeletethinkblue3828@gmail.com
How about a video of you dancing. Or you and Rafe dancing. How about dancing while holding a big ol' Texas star. LOL

I say while you're in NY get some footage of your favorite things about the city...then when you get back to LA, do the same - the smush them together and compare the two...so we get a picture of what you love most about them both!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty fond of videos dealing with you and your life, because your life comes to light through your writing, but it's so nice to put a face, a voice, a giggle with your writings. Some posed, some not-so-rehearsed. Casual, formal, and everything in between. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll second what Michelle requested: vids about cupcakes, though that's more for my GF than me.
ReplyDeleteThis flip camcorder looks pretty cool. ::crosses fingers::
I like the first answer. ~lol~ Funny, but true. Thanks for the cool giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteI"ve heard good things about the Flip.
ReplyDeleteI say that you should try your hand at some totally touristy LA things. Maybe some of the weirdos on Hollywood. That's kinda gotta be seen to really be believed if you ask me.
PS - must look into the details for the next cupcake meet up.
Thanks for the giveaway. I would love to see videos of the LA beach since I don't think I will get to see it in person.
ReplyDeleteI want to see more wedding planning things too! Unless you're trying to keep them a secret, then don't spoil the fun. :) I'd like someone to commiserate with, I MEAN, "celebrate" the planning with!

Would love to see some unique L.A. sights! Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLA is loaded with cool things to film.... the people, the places, the scenery...go for it girl. And enter me for the prizes too.
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe a montage of some of the best hole-in-the-walls LA and/or any of the cities you visit have to offer :)
ReplyDeletegreat blog!!

It looks really cool. I am my baby's 15 month old daddy and I want it!
ReplyDeleteI'll take some video footage of my son with it and send it in to America's Funniest Home Videos.
As one of the oldest people on this blog, I need something like this because it seems fool-proof.
ReplyDeleteIt would also raise my cool-factor.
I would like to see an episode of Cribs Tara-style.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I love that Cribs suggestion. I love seeing how others live...
ReplyDeleteThe beach is nice too with seagull sounds.
Thanks! daniela6968(at)gmail(dot)com
I'd just like to see the LA perspecive from the life of you. The glamour, sun, smog and surf :)
ReplyDeletepiratemeghan(at) hotmail.com
I'd like to see hilarious videos! :) Plus, what Meghan said is nice too! Thank you! :)

I would love to see videos that make Southern California look like a desirable place to live. To convince me why I still live here.
ReplyDeleteI'd love you to show us some of the must see things in Cali. Someday (eventually) I want to visit and I'd love to see footage of your favorite spots.

ReplyDeletewow lucky winner! :) i will some day get one of these so i can start a video blog or something... but i'm terribly camera shy. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am new to blogging but I couldn't help noticing how organized and informative your blog appears. I like your style and hope to get my blog as popular as yours one day. Maybe you could check out my blog and let me know what you think. I feel like I'm flying blind, but you seem to know your way already. Keep up the good work.
