Fall giveaway from Coffee Bean
Fall has always been my favorite season from apple picking to the smell of burning leaves, knit sweaters, Halloween, changing leaves, to autumn colors. Los Angeles doesn't really get a Fall though and this East Coaster misses that season the most! Sure, I still make apple sauce here, but it's not the same, the air isn't crisp and Halloween costumes just randomly pop into stores, it's weird, I miss the transition.
To toast in the season here in LA though, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is featuring Fall inspired drinks and desserts on their menu from now through early November, which include their Pumpkin Ice Blended or Pumpkin Latte drinks and limited-edition pastries like mini pumpkin pie or crème filled chocolate cake. To celebrate their fall menu, reps from the specialty coffee and tea shop is giving one lucky When Tara Met Blog reader a $10 gift card.
Being from the Eastcoast, I wasn't familiar with Coffee Bean until I came out here and since I don't drink coffee I was especially intrigued by the Tea Leaf part of their name. I particularly like their loose leaf Japanese cherry tea, yum.
Anyway, back to the giveaway, to win the gift card, just post a comment here about what you love most about Fall, along with a way to contact you and I'll randomly select a winner on Tuesday Oct. 14th. In the meantime, grab a drink at Coffee Bean and enjoy it on one of their outdoor patios, under a beautiful, blue autumn sky and although you won't be able to smell burning leaves in the air like back in New York, you can at least be glad you're able to be outside in October without a coat on.

I grew up in Northern California, where you actually do get a bit of a transition to fall. What I miss the most is the changing colors of the leaves and the frequent rain storms. A few years ago I was able to visit Pittsburgh in October, and it was absolutely beautiful!
I am obsessed with pumkin flavors and am loving fall. You know what else comes out this time of year pumpkin ice cream. It is the best. You need to grab a half gallon.
I love Fall - especially in other places where it is not 90 degrees out! I'm so over these hot SoCal temps! I love the crunchy leaves and the ability to wear jeans and a long sleeve shirt with no jacket. ruthewell at hotmail dot com

My favorite thing about fall has to be the change in weather (even here in LA). Once the mornings get chilly, I get to have tea in the morning. I love that and look forward to it all season.
That and getting out of my much loved, many collected, flipflops for something a bit more substantial.
Take me out of the contest though since we just did a CBTL giveaway on National Coffee Day and they were kind enough to send me a giftcard as well.
I'm originally from Texas and although there's not much of a transition there it's a bit better than the transition here in Phoenix. What I miss the most is seeing the auburn leaves while running in the cool crisp air off Town Lake. It was just cool enough to wear my favorite long sleeved West Point T-shirt and shorts. I miss those runs.
being a socal girl who went to school in the midwest i must say that i love the leave changing and sweater wearing the best of all fall things. it's just so nice to see such amazing colors and have such crisp weather. ah i can't wait!

My favorite thing about Fall is the way the air turns cool, but not cold. It feels clean and crisp and every breath of it is cleansing your soul from the hot summer, preparing you for white winter.

I love the weather change and the fall festivals!! Halloween is coming and Thanksgiving!! Just love it!

You are so right. I am originally from Pennsylvania and the only thing I miss living in California, is the one month of fall. I love the pumpkin latte at Coffee Bean way more than the one at Starbucks.
Miss CBTL so much! I ran into one in Hawaii and it was like coming home.
Oh! If only I had found your blog two weeks earlier... I'm glad Coffee Bean decided to try an usher in Fall despite the conspicuously summer-like weather...
